can samus still FF her grapple? if samus jumps and immediately grapples, does the grapple cancel her upward momentum or is it the same as it is in melee? still hoping i can trick the game into letting me WD...lol

hm....now that you mention it...i'm wondering that as well...i guess the speed wont be as prominent as it was in melee, but i guessing she should still be able to fastfall as regular brawl fastfalling speed, althought i would LOVE to be proved wrong on this one...a trickier samus=a happier me =)

HEY! ALSO!!! SO we know now that if someone is ledge hogging, our grapple will not autoseek the ledge. So if someone is ledgehogging, the grapple should STILL shoot straight right? So a straight flying grapple should STILL be able to grapple a wall beneath the ledge if it doesnt autoseek the ledge right?

You discovered Midva!
I'm not sure about it canceling upward momentum or anything but I know if you were to airdodge before it then you would just go up a bit. I'm pretty sure you can still airdodge > grapple... oh well. I've heard that grappling and hookshoting right before you land cancels all lag but I don't think it would end up working out to be anything like a WD. Who knows, I haven't played it. I smell an experiment...
