Love it, learn it, use it.

This is by far Captain Falcon's best move, it is his Shine.

I'm convinced that this move is probably the most important thing to learn to use/how to do.

Whats that mean for you? ****ING USE IT.

NO REALLY, USE IT

As I'm dutch I always play PAL, but last smashfest at my place someone brought NTSC.
Now I thought it would suck because of the gentleman, but to my surprise I canceled it almost all the time. I figured I've been shielding in PAL too after hitting A three times (due to it might being interrupted). Anyway who cares lol

Gentleman is ****, when they shield I sometimes hit A one or two times and grab.
Mixing it up can be convenient cuz when they are on to it you can try and finish the gentleman while they let go of shield after the first or second hit.

Not a dealbreaker but its pretty cool.

Gentleman forces opponents to shield and leads into a grab 90% of the time.

Why is this amazing? Falcon relies on grabs.

God ****ing ****it its a free grab and potential kill.

Backthrow sucks
But somehow I beat prog's Falco when I was at high % and he was at 0 with Backthrow near edge -> Bair to steal the jump -> DJ Uair to gimp the Firebird -> edgehog -> victory

So yeah
Backthrow

Granted that it doesn't work all the time, backthrow on the edge against falco, then fulljump double bair. Looks sexy too. You get f-ed in the A when he just falls and sweetspots tho.

by the way, didn't darkrain do something like that? like double bair DJ stomp? correct me if wrong derp

Well everything that requires him to jump into something fails if he just falls and sweetspots...<_<

I've been experimenting with mixups.

Upsmash on shields spaces falcon's uilt in most scenerios.

Upsmash>Utilt will hit greedy players looking for grabs.

Falcon looks like fun. I'm thinkin' about pickin' him up. Doc vs. Falcon matchup is kinda bologna for Doc. I would like to experience the mathcup from the other side of the spectrum now. I have no idea how to gentleman yet.

if ur too close to ur opponent people can shield grab your gentlemen upon block or do out of shield punishes

so while its as good as the shine you need to be spaced further (unless they suck) while shine you need to be very close

does that happen even if you decide to only do AA and dash away?

I can't seem to do too much after I gentleman. I can do it pretty consistently, but I can't seem to get it to lead into anything. I can dash to cancel it, but I can't jump to cancel, b/c I need to hold A or else I do rapid punches. Different ways to cancel it?

If you do the A-A-Z method and hold it a little longer, it cancels with shield, which allows you to jump.

I tend to find that dash is the best though, if you jump out of it immediately you can usually hit them again.
