The GameCube Controller Flash Adpater

Does anyone here have the flash adapter to use a GC controller on the Wii U? If so, is it worth it? I've seen reviews on it and noticed that there is a lag issue. I'm really considering buying the controller but don't want to waste money on something that is not of really good competitive quality. Thanks!
