I never said they were the same sword, if that's what you're implying. Now, before you hate on me, I never finished Four Swords (I'm going to get to it this summer after Minish Cap and a few Metroid Games). It's just something I saw when I was browsing to find an image of Vaati.

In the first video he's clearly sealed into the sword, and even though Four Swords game was made 1st Minish Cap is the 1st in the series of games with Vaati (in the official timeline), Minish cap was made after Four Swords and Four Swords adventure.

Either they clearly didn't state Vaati was locked in the Four Swords after Minish cap, or there's a game yet to be made which explains why he was stealing girls. But if I was to take a guess, the whole stealing girls thing was just a back story they made for Vaati to build character. Couldn't find a good enough source for Vaati's history based on Minish Cap, but I found this, which is close enough

Judging by what you said, I think you misinterprited my original point. I was just trying to say that both Fi and Vaati were sealed in swords at one point in time...

I know the order of the timeline and that Vaati was released.

But, I think Ranger seems the most likely, but I don't really know what you mean by "forcing their opponent to stay in a certain area" though.

It is like controlling your opponent. A Ranger's strength is the ability to keep opponents from getting close.

Then I can see Vaati being a mix of both, having range when it comes to wind attacks and such, and then needing to control where the oopponents are using electricity and fire.

I believe there is a theory to this extent. Someone on somewhere posted it It involved a long explanation to Midna, Ghirahim, Vaati, and a few others. Quite a read to me as I've only played a few Zelda games myself.

Damn. Wish I had paid attention to that- TWENTY free games? That is pretty remarkable, that is the kind of deal I was looking for to get the system before I did (ended up not getting mine until early last year). That makes up for the price dramatically.

Yeah, so I'd highly doubt we'll see Vaati in any form in Hyrule Warriors for that reason.

My most wanted Zelda newcomer is Ghirahim, but I can be very happy if Vaati gets his deserved slot...

Still, I think the characters that are obstacles for Vaati are Toon Zelda/Tetra and Ghirahim. I don't think Impa or another character can represent a big danger for Vaati (but still represent danger, since Sakurai can still threw a curve ball Zelda newcomer like Great Fairy LOL)

According to earlier posts on this page it seems Hyrule Warriors is only going with the characters from Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, so that's unlikely.

If they made a four player sequel... possibly with four sword link.. Vaati would be a shoo in?

I think the first form from Minish Cap where he looks like a taller version of Toon Vaati with the giant Eye in his torso would be the playable one with a lot of the shadow bats and eyes as his moves. Personally.

No time is ever too late to be added onto the supporters list. (Unless he's already confirmed/deconfirmed, but that a different story)

Honestly, I think this helps him a lot too, only competition I see for Vaati now is Impa, which is always good news for me.

Vaati has certainly moved up in the line now that all the other choices barring Impa and toonclones were made into assist. Still, we don't know if Zelda will even get a newcomer this game. Time will tell.
