Bush has signed a new executive order which many internet personalities are hailing as the destruction of the 5th Amendment. Here's an article about it which covers all the basic facts. It's been pointed out that if the government were ever to exercise these powers, they could be sued in federal court by the person they use the powers on, but the countering argument is that the person could also be detained in a prison with their rights withheld.
Is this a serious problem? Is this really the end of the 5th amendment? Will the government use these powers for evil or good? Are Rogue Government and the other sites reporting this just spouting more bull**** conspiracy?
