Who is Katara?

Katara is a main character in the hit 2005 Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. She is a powerful Waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe, and in fact the only one left by the time of the series. She and her older brother Sokka were responsible for freeing Aang from the iceberg after 100 years, and she served as both his Waterbending teacher and his love interest and eventually, his wife. She would even help mentor the next Avatar in the cycle, Korra, 70 years after she freed Aang from the iceberg and helped to end the 100 year war against the Fire Nation.

How would Katara fight?

Waterbending is a bending art that isn't touched on much with this game. In fact it's the least focused on element across both games. Aang and Toph in the first game showcased the capabilities of Airbending and Earthbending respectively, while NASB2 featured three Firebenders (Azula, Zuko, and Iroh). Meanwhile Waterbending is relegated to just part of the movesets of Korra (both games) and Aang (NASB2 only) and doesn't get the level of focus that the other three elements got. Katara would properly showcase the full capabilities of Waterbending, which includes water projectile attacks (including water balls and water blasts), melee weapons like the water whip (which Katara struggled with during the show), and even healing abilities. And that's just scratching the surface of what a Waterbender could do.

What are her chances?

Very good actually. Avatar: The Last Airbender is a very popular show. And there's an ongoing live action remake on Netflix, along with an upcoming sequel movie. Katara, being a very prominent character in the franchise, would be a logical next pick to rep the franchise.
