Trevenant

What is Trevenant?
Trevenant is a Grass-Ghost type Pokemon introduced in Generation Six. It is the Elder Tree Pokemon, and according to the Pokedex, can control trees.

Why Trevenant?
It is popular, unique, and recent.

What would it do?
It would use moves like Curse, Leech Seed, and Will-O-Wisp. It could also use Shadow Claw, Horn Leech, and some other moves.

Arguments:
It's a tree. How would it walk?
It can use it's roots as legs.
It isn't very iconic!
Like Ivysaur.

Moveset:
B: Leech Seed
Shoots a bunch of seeds forward. If it hits an opponent, it sprouts vines and wraps all over the opponent. They get slowed down, slowly take damage, and Trevenant slowly heals.
Side B: Horn Leech
Jabs forward with claw. Heals Trevenant a little.
Up B: Phantom Force
Like Zelda's teleport.
Down B: Protect
Counter move.
Final Smash: Forest's Curse
The stage turns foresty and trees sprout everywhere. The trees attack opponents when they get close.

Playstyle
Trevenant has an interesting playstyle that revolves around using Leech Seed and Horn Leech to remain at low percentages, while slowly damaging your opponent.

This would be interesting...we haven't had a healing character in Smash yet. Add me to the supporters list.

I support as well. One of my favorite Gen 6 Pokémon, so yeah. Him in Smash Bros would be awesome.

I'll support, even if it's unlikely. I love Ghost Trees anyway.

Well to be fair, the main reason Ivysaur got in was thanks to the more iconic Squirtle and Charizard.

Ivysaur didn't just "happen".

I really like Trevenant (had one on my x team) but I feel Hawlucha would make a better 6th gen rep.

I don't see him as likely at all, but I love Trevenant. I guess I'll support him. :p

Plus, I'm a sucker for chlorokinetic (well, xylokinetic in this case) characters in fiction, so he'd be a nice complement to Ivysaur.
