i started with es III morrowind but my favorite is es V skyrim.I'm actually surprised we didn't have a thread for this already. I've been a fan of the series since I was a kid. The first ES I ever played was ESII, since then I've played every installment as soon as they come out. My personal favorite is ES4, mostly because I have gotten more out of that game than every other title in the series.
yeah i love some of the visual mods for morrowind they make the game look stunning to todays standards. With mods, my favorite is Morrowind. I loved the uniqueness of the world. Objectively, in scale, it's numerically smaller than both Cyrodiil (Oblivion) and Skyrim but the richness of the world makes it feel just as if not more vast. I say with mods because while Morrowind is a great game, it's quite old. Boosting the visual quality of the game breathes new life into the game while staying true to the original design. Least favorite is Oblivion. Shimmering Isles was a really good addition but the main world felt bland and the characters had mashed potato faces. I also hate what they did to the Dunmer.
yeah those visuals make me want to aswellYep. Here's some of what can be done.
Kinda feel like revisiting this game again.
yeah i love skyrim mostPersonally, I prefer Skyrim over the previous games. I have always been drawn to Nords and wondered what Skyrim was actually like. Morrowind was a pretty good game but I haven't tried out the mods for it. I first got into Elder Scrolls with Daggerfall. I never liked Oblivion really as it just seemed bland to me. Morrowind was entirely unique but that's due to Morrowind being pretty dang alien-like compared to the other regions.
Skyrim was exactly what I wanted Elder Scrolls to be like. I never really enjoyed the limited character creation and how you have to choose a class in the start. I liked how you could spend your points in areas that interested you. It made it much more open and free compared to other titles. I haven't tried out Online yet but I am not a huge MMO fan really. I do hope that the next installment after Online takes us to Valenwood, Sumerset Islands, or to maybe someplace outside of Thedas.
skyrim was my life fo atleast 3 weeksYeah, Skyrim consumed most of my free time at its release. I got pretty absorbed in it.
I wish I could love ESIII the way I used to. Don't get me wrong, there's a ton about the game that I still appreciate but, while dated visuals don't bother me, dated game play does. There's just too many clunky old design choices in the game that prevent me from enjoying it as I once did. With mods, my favorite is Morrowind. I loved the uniqueness of the world. That's fine. Combat mechanics are something that could be a lot better, I agree. My favorite aspect about it is the sheer openness of the world. Being able to do whatever you want including killing off important quest characters made decisions feel all the more meaningful. I also liked that there was little handholding in the game which is something I feel saturates modern gaming today.I wish I could love ESIII the way I used to.
