Food and drink:

Our crew will not supply food or drink. However, you can either bring your own or buy whatever you need in the nearby shopping centre and restaurants.

Disclaimer and rules of behaviour:

None of us will be held responsible for what you do. You break it, you pay for it. Also, if you misbehave in any way or disregard/ ignore my directions you will be thrown out of the place - no johns, no refunds.

Treat everyone else with respect, don't flame people, don't excessively cuss, don't make a mess (We'll make you clean up if you do), , don't make use of drugs (including alcohol), don't start brawling in real life. I don't want to ask anyone to leave since we're all here to have fun, but again, if you misbehave, you WILL be sent away.

Rules:

- Sets will be best of 3 (best of 5 for finals)

- Double Elimination (players will be seeded by location and skill if possible)

- 3 stocks

- Stock match time limit: 6:00 minutes

- Ties: In case of a tie when the 6 minute time limit runs out, the player with the most lives left wins. If both players have an equal amount of lives left, the lowest percentage determines the winner. If all else fails, a single round of sudden death will be played.

- All items are turned OFF (Smashballs are OFF)

Stages:

- The first match of each set is played at random on one of the following neutral stages:

Final Destination
Delfino Plaza
Battlefield
Yoshi's Story
Smashville
Lylat Cruise

- Counterpick stages:

Luigi's Mansion
Mario Cicuit
Bridge of Eldin
Great Sea
Norfair
Frigate Orpheon
Battleship Halberd
Castle Siege
Pictochat
Angel Hill Zone

Donkey Kong Arcade
Mario Bros Arcade
The Summit
Flatzone 2
WarioWare Inc.
New Pork City

from Melee:

Hyrule
Big Blue
Onett
Corneria

(Stage Lists are subject to change)

- Stage Strike: Both players have the option to strike a stage at the beginning of each set. Those stages are then not open for counter-pick or random select during that set.

- Stage Agree: Instead of determining a stage at random at the beginning of a set, the players can agree on a stage which is then played for the first match.

- Double Blind Pick: Each player can call a double blind pick for the first match of a set. In this case, both players choose their character without knowing their opponents character. (I.e. the players tell another person their character choices, who then says them out loud.)

- Advanced Slob Picks: The loser of a match chooses the stage for the next match (he/ she can also decide to use a neutral stage chosen at random). After the stage has been determined, the winner has the option to change characters. Once the winner has chosen a character, the loser picks his character.

- The loser cannot pick any banned stages (see above list).

- Dave's Stupid Rule: You cannot counter-pick a stage if the stage is where you got your last victory (unless your opponent agrees to it).

- Wavebirds and Wii-Remotes are banned due to frequency/ connection issues. No modified controllers or controllers with special functions are allowed.

- Stalling tactics are banned, but allowed if used as a recovery move only.

- Tournament matches have highest priority. If a certain tournament match is assigned to a station and the station is already taken by players playing MMs/ friendlies, that match will be aborted immediately to make room for the tournament match.

- If a player is late for a match, he will be sanctioned:

2 minutes late: loss of a stock for the first match.
4 minutes late: loss of first match of the set.
6 minutes late: loss of the ENTIRE SET, no johns.

Team Rules:

- All of the above rules also apply to team matches.

- Friendly fire is ON

- Life stealing is allowed (done in Brawl by pressing A + B at the same time)

Brawl rules will most likely change as the metagame develops.

Melee rules (if Melee is played):

Melee ruleset

Post here (or PM me, or whatever) if you would like to come, or have a question concerning the tournament.
