I'd never thought coming up with a character with a specific first letter would be so hard!
And what is with all of the SMBSS characters being overused!? ._.

I try to avoid using characters I've already posted, and I only have so much knowledge of Y names.

You just have to name a character that starts with the same letter as the last persons characters last letter.

So UltraMario's character was "Netty". It ends with a "Y" so my character is going to be Yoshi.
