Yeah, I realize that this character has been theorized for smash 4 ever since its preview at e3 2013, and fanmade movesets have been done to death for this little guy, but I still believe he could make it into the game.
I'll start off with why he should be in the game. For starters, he is a popular character and probably a highly voted for character in the Smash Ballot. His alternate costumes would be easy to make. Just make 7/8 different color yarn, and 1/8 Prince Fluff. Another reason is that his moveset would be completely different than any Kirby representative in Smash so far, but more on that later. Another reason is that, well, to put it simply, we need another Kirby character. We should have a little more variety.
The moveset-
Air Game: His down special should be his ground pound/weight attack from the game. This one is very simple, if used in the air, he very quickly falls down in a skinny weight, dealing a good amount of percent damage. His side special should be where, out of nowhere, he throws a raveled up yarn block at his opponent. (If DeDeDe can do it with Gordos, why not Yarn Kirby?) His recovery should be when he turns into a rocket. This is sort of similar to R.O.B.'s Recovery, except he can tilt to avoid attacks. This goes very high, but deals no damage. His neutral special turns him into a ball of yarn, and you can charge this attack, actually. When you let go, Kirby flings himself at his opponent, and if fully charged, this could do up to 16%.
Ground Game: His grab is his main attack from Epic Yarn, the whip. This has medium range, and can tether, as well as zair. (The offensive version of a tether recovery, if that term confused you.) His Ftilt throws out a quick yarn whip. His Dtilt does a quick kick. Nothing special. Kirby does a headbutt in the air for his Utilt, the range isn't the best, but the knockback is very good at high percents. His Usmash turns himself into a parasol, where the tip launches the opponent into the air. His Dsmash throws out two weights (replacing his hands) on the same side of him, at once. This can lead to some amazing knockback, and easy percent stacking. His Fsmash is just an extended version of his Ftilt, and more powerful too. His dash attack is him turning into a car, and this is pretty fast. I'd say about a little slower than Mario's Dash.
Air Game: His Nair is when he throws out a yarn whip in a circle. His Fair is when he turns into a drill quickly, and can deal some amazing knockback. The tip does the most damage. His Dair is, instead of using a whip, he uses his yarn arm to create a spear, which can meteor smash. To be brutally honest, and I know this sounds lazy, but I'm having trouble deciding his Bair and his Uair. I don't want to sound too needy, but if I could have some help maybe, that'd be amazing. Kriby only has two jumps, but he can slowly float downwards if you hold the jump button using his parasol.
Any thoughts? Any feedback would help.
Thanks,
-Brandon.
