I started playing as mewtwo recently (to **** badass not too) and i usually main fox. My biggest problem is the approach, especialy against a char with a disjointed hitbox. Does anyone have any advice or tips on this matter. ive read threads and watched videos but i still am severely lacking in this area. Any advice is appreciated.

ive read it a fw times but i was wondering what other m2 players would do for their approach or if they stick to what has mainly been said on threads like that.

Well i usually wavedash in and forward tilt or down tilt depending on where they are and their percentage. or throw a small shadowball and wavedash and grab or u tilt if the jump. and then theres my favorite approach DONT. But most of what i just said is covered in that guide so i guess i stick to the guide

wavedash into your sheild, then shield grab or something is effective, keep in mind they can grab you too

teleporting is more effective than i gave it credit for, but for everyone except marth, wd to tilts is best option usually.

thx alot. ive been mostly wd'ing to d or f tilt or wd shield grab. I was watching shadowclaw 2 a few minutes ago and Taj looked like he was dashdancing with fairs, is this doing instant double jump cancles and he is just that good?

This is called camping.

Small shadowballs and WD->dtilts are pretty good.

Full hop -> FF nair and land behind them, is good sometimes too.
I wouldn't recommend the Full hop -> FF nair. The nair's priority is too crappy and Mewtwo's jump is too slow. If you're playing against a Fox or Falcon or even Marth, you can expect a bair or u-tilt to the face.

I do agree with the ncsb -> wd -> d-tilt though.

I tend to use platforms to approach by just wavedashing on and off of them, occasionally throwing out a sb. Mewtwo can wavedash backwards off a platform, fastfall, then d-tilt like none other, and it works really well for players that will try to camp you out under a platform, like marth and his u-tilts.
