The anticipation, excitement, speculation - will you miss it?

So the time is almost upon us. Brawl is only a few weeks away for the States, and just about a week away for Japan. And it's been a wild ride to say the least.

Although the game is obviously going to be indescribebly awesome, a part of me will miss all this excitement - anxiously checking Dojo every morning, hoping for your favorite character, speculating about leaks, arguing about a character's probability, etc...

So obviously I'll miss some of this pre-game anticipation, but will you?

I won't because I'll be playing the game instead.

The info we get anyway is just like with every other game out there so it won't affect me...

I will not miss it at all, and have been ready for it to be over for some time now. I'm under the weather at the moment, and it's compounding my frustration. This game has been way too long in the making. I'm more than ready.

I'll miss the speculation and the dojo updates (apparently it will still update after the Japan release, but we'll already know everything by then).

I will not miss the 'Prophets' however. I find that people making fake leaks is annoying and so when the real roster is revealed I will no longer have to deal with them.

Unfortunately I live in Australia, meaning that I lose the thrill of checking the dojo, but I still don't get the game for another six months or so.

QFT.
'Sides, we've been speculating for so long it kinda got annoying with all these flame/harassment wars.

*wipes tears* No more lies? Prophets? Japan-only demos? Oh the sadness.

But really, at a point, the wait was exciting, but now it's just plain boring (not the updates). I probably won't realize when Brawl comes out b/c i'm used to waiting.

Will I miss all the topics about leaks, rosters etc... mmm no. I will be so glad when the game comes out.. I have nothing to do to pass the time anymore.

The speculation continues on for another game I'm waiting for so I've got my fill for that. The excitement.. I'm not too excited right now but during the last few days I'm thinking I will get a lot more excited and will miss it then.

I will not miss the speculation, and I will DEFINITELY not miss all of these "prophets"

Im tired of seeing "Omg tha reel roster??" threads EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I will be glad to just come to the boards to discuss the characters, their playstyles, how to get better with them,

Watching new combo videos, seeing what the pros can do with Olimar and PT, and the rest. It will all be very, very exciting, and I look forward to this new chapter of SWF's life.

Smash is upon us. Let us leave the past behind us and embrace the new era of SWF.

(Oh and Ill be too busy mastering Olimar and Squirtle anyway, good-bye speculation!)

Not really.

When Brawl comes out I give myself a few days to unlock everybody. THEN I will miss all the anticipation and excitement...None of the speculation though..

Yeah I'll miss it, just like with a bunch of other games I go crazy for(but not as much as Brawl). Everyday In school I talk with my friends about that day's update and other Brawl things.

No. Because excitement, anticipation, and speculation brought their ********, incested sibling called 'stupidity.'

But seriously, I can see what you are saying OP. I will definitely miss checking Dojo when I wake up (or often before I go to sleep), I'll miss all the character support theories, and I'll miss most of all the uproarious prophets.

I was thinking about this myself the other day... Though slightly different.

The Brawl updates interested me. They gave me something to look forward to. It's fun to get all hyped up about the characters/items/stages/etc, and it's exhilarating when you get a really good update (Sonic and Pokemon Trainer announcements made those entire days rule).

Now, though I'll sorta miss the excitement, I DO think the game will be able to live up to my hopes and be really awesome. I doubt I'll think about it too much, but I think it'll be an adjustment not going to the Dojo everyday for an update.

LOL your sig is from Eternus, great song by the way ^_^

Anyway on topic, a part of me always misses awaiting a game release and talking about it. Especially brawl, but honestly these forum and every other forum is filled with trolls, prophets, arguments, and lots of hate towards characters. This results in alot negative topics, and discussions. This has got to stop and I don't enjoy any of it and once the game is released I will end. When the boards were at peace it was fun, now its not. End of story, gimme brawl already.

As they say, anticipation is often better than the thing itself.

And unfortunately, that's how Brawl might be for me because my expecations are SO high.
Plus, it's really fun to speculate about Brawl everday.

I'll be so glad to see the looks on peoples faces when characters they don't want are on the roster anyway. I don't have any favorites that i'm looking forward to so it doesnt matter to me what the final roster is, but all the know-it-alls having to stuff if will be great.

I won't miss anticipation though because I hate waiting

By next saturday it'll be out of my system because we'll know all there is to know most likely

I will miss the DOJO, but not the pointless threads here. I've become accustomed to checking it every morning. I think I might actually check it after the game is released just out of habit.

In my happy place now.
I'll miss the dojo, and the crazy excitement of learning about some major new info, but losing this isn't going to matter by Feb. 10th. Nothing will, I'll have BRAWL!!!!!

Why the hell would I miss it? The reason we all are checking this is to find the definite answers and end the fake speculation and prophetic leaks. When its over then dare I say: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! So No I will not.

Yeah the prophets have certainly ruined much of the fun that was speculating. I'll probably remember community reactions to the DOJO!! updates when the website just updated.
