Who watched?
Hmm. Not sure if I'm happy with everything. Actually I'm only unhappy with 2 of the winners. Persepolis should have won over
Ratatouille in animated picture. It's possibly the worst Pixar movie I've ever seen. Also best supporting atress should have gone to Saoirse Ronan, or really anyone else. I think i just didn't want Michael Clayton to win anything though. I'm glad No Country won 4 though. Woot. I'm also really happy for "once" winning original song. Its a good one.

None of your business.
I was a little disappointed about There Will be Blood not getting enough awards. The Coen Brothers won 2 each for writing/directing No Country For Old Men (a good movie, but I liked TWBB better), and Paul Thomas Anderson won nothing.

Other than that, not bad. Anyone else besides me surprised at how Bourne Ultimatum won all three of its nominations?

Wow. I didn't even realize it. Now that you mention it that impressive. I really didn't think too much about that movie winning. I thought most of the big winners would be No Country, TWBB, and Juno were going to take most of them. I was sort of right. I was sad Ellen Page didn't win for best actress. She was great in Juno. I never saw Michael Clayton though so I don't really know how good that lady did.

The Academy is sort of a joke anyways, but, being a cinephile, of course I watched it (this isn't to say that I exactly liked it)

I'm very pleased by Once winning original music. I'm glad to see the Coen brothers getting some awards, but I'm almost certain Anderson didn't win best director or best picture merely because There Will Be Blood was far to blasphemous for the Academy. But, to me, the most upsetting thing was Juno's win for best original script. I absolutely despised the Juno's script... I can't take that overwritten, hip and quirky, "I'm over thirty years old and I wish I was still a teenager," sort of dialogue - really grinds my gears. How that film ever got nominated... I mean, I hate the Academy, but that nomination was surprisingly idiotic, even for those blow-hard hacks.

The academy awards sucked this year (just like it did the last time they got that ******* Stewart to host it)

At least Ratatouille won. The most annoying part was when that ***** spent her whole acceptance speech talking about how great George Clooney was. Isn't it great to be a left winger in Hollywood? It seems everything you do gets nominated.

Jeez, u thought Ratatouille was the WORST Pixar movie ever? Even worse than "A Bug's Life"?
I thought it was pretty good, even though I would've liked Persepolis to have won. I hate how 3D animation is taking over 2D animation.

I was happy that once won for the song. Not at all upset with ellen page not winning, I consider her performance in Hard Candy to be better.
