ok so im not the best falco...

but i feel a certain repour for all my falco bretheran (is that how you spell it?),

there is something that holds everyone of us together, and not just this specific part of the forum....

every falco starts off the same... they watch either their friendds tech skill or some awesome players vids... (for me it was bombsoldier), then they find out the skills that made that vid possible and of course go and try to perform them...
they finally start to get them down and feel good about it (as you would, i mean its hard to learn, and even harder to perform everytime...),
and then this is when the problem starts....
the falco in question (just bout everyone of them), starts to downtalk people in rate my..... threads...
they start to get cocky and not let any information in... and why?.. because "i know how to do it you ********",

ok then ussually this falco gets shot down and learns the truth behind it... you may be good and you may know all the stuff, but its still a long way, just cause you can wavedash doesnt mean you can use it effectively against the pros....

and then once the falco learns this he IS as good as he thought he was... but its not a stuck up good.... its a feeling of peace... (ok this thread has gotten a little of track), but i am starting to feel that way....
and i am guilty of all that i have mentioned here... but i feel good, i beat the towns best player...., ive got my skills to the point where im happy with them..., and thats what its about, being happy in yourself.... that feeling you get when you pull off that triple shine for the first time.... or the feelin you get when you can pillar someones shield into a jc usmash everytime...
no one can take that away from you... you are a falco, your were put up against the hardships of this character since day one and have come so far... and you should feel good about it no matter where you are skill wise.... cause it will improve anyway..., just feel goood about it... cause no other ******* will do that for you....
so i guess thats all im trying to say......

but yeah i also believe that there is a conceted emotion that comes from some of the pros that havent seemed to have gotten over the fact that theyt think theyre good..... hydro kirby in particular.... (sorry kirb but u know its the truth... you dont have to be a stuck up, angry, ovally rude for no reasaon....)
but thats a story for another time....
thanx for listening... and i hope that after the half hour you just spent readin this you dont feel cheapened or ripped off in anyway....

oh and also im really REALLY keen on MMs, anyone who is interested pm me please....

but yeah this thread isnt really something that i believe will get many replies...
just something ive wanted to get off my chest....
and id also like to apollogise to the peeps... who bore the brunt of my bull****...

so yeah and if you got something youd like to add or say... ill be here all night baby....

tl;dr middle.

However, I agree. There's a step from noob > overconfidence > tourny xp > settled.

I wouldn't say I'm settled, because after going to two or three tournies.. I'm just more motivated to stop sucking.. Unfortunately, like many, I have so few players to play.

I think the settled > competitive scene is the hardest and longest step in smash.

Lol? I don't have false conceptions about how good I am or am not; I know exactly where I stand in the community. If you'll notice, in none of my posts am I boasting about my skill, and so on.

Being an *** towards others on the forums does not equate to myself more credit than I deserve. If you choose to believe in your misconceptions, go ahead; nothing is stopping you from doing so.

And believe me, you're quite the attention ***** yourself. MM if you're going to pound, and I'm able to scrape the money together for a plane ticket.

Hydro Kirby has no life but DotA and smash, and he sucks at both. However, he does know where he stands since he goes to biweeklies all the time and loses all the time. His attitude doesn't reflect his own thoughts of his skills.

I don't know what's more exciting; this thread, or watching a match between two Falco's that just do stationary short hop lasers and random down-airs.

lol I'm a lot more of an *** than Hydro Kirby, I just don't like to watch falco videos if the first five seconds aren't entertaining.

Why would you want to be at peace anyways? If you're settled with your skill level, meaning you've accepted that you won't become better, there's no competitive aspect anymore. What would be pushing you to try harder and keep getting better? It seems to me like you've started on your path towards retirement.

Rapport is how you spell it by the way.

We could DotA sometime tonight. We have an LC host, so that's sorta take care of the lag issues; we'd just have to figure out whether to play on east or west >_>

Defense of the Ancients, which is arguably the most popular UMS map for Warcraft III. It's gotten to the point where it's sponsored by Blizzard, and has it's own tournaments separate from WCIII ladder.

I wish DotA games weren't filled with elitist *******s, otherwise I'd probably play it.

OMG 1v1 DotA would be terrible.
Well you can do Silencer/Viper/SF 1v1s (-apomsh) simply to see who has better lane control, etc. But that doesn't properly judge who has a better grasp of teamplay, and other aspects that aren't on display in a 1v1 game.
