Is this actually a texture editor? or just a manager? I mean I have photoshop and everything and have made textures, I'm just wondering.

It's a manager, but it includes ASH, STASH and CUPASH. You'll still need Photoshop or whatever photo editor you prefer. Follow the link and check it out.

:)

EDIT: How come Step 1 closes are soon as I open it? D:

and I have NTcompress and TexConv...and when I try to run it as administrator it can't find them. -_-

EDIT: I can't even find the texconv and ntcompress even when they're in the right place and folder!

Hmm, I'm not sure. Over a hundred downloads and this is the first time hearing this, so I want to believe it has something to do with something on your end... If you'll give me some more info I'll try to troubleshoot. Are you trying to use ASH? Is the batch file running at all? did you copy more than just TexConv and ntcompress? Did you rename/move/remove ANY files or folders? What OS are you running? Have you installed .NET framework 3 or higher? If you're using Vista, have you turned of UAC?

Ehm, what do you open the first window with. I mean, it asks for a folder, but what kind of folder? What has to be in it? I can’t figure it out …

It's asking for the folder that contains all your textures in the Texture Manager format. Look in the help file for more info on that.

I'd love to use this...but even with ntcompress and texconv in the same folder as ASH, it has never worked for me.

What exactly is happening? I'm sure we can get this sorted out. If it crashes right after you try running it, you need to install the .NET framework included. If it's just ash that's not running, you need to put TexConv and ntcompress in the ASH folder, not folder containing the ASH folder.

I have netframework 3.5 and ASH doesn't crash. It just gives me a message stating that it can't find ntcompress. Both programs are in the same folder that ASH is located in.

You keep saying they are in "the same folder that ASH is located in", they need to be in the ACTUAL ASH FOLDER.

When I say the folder that ASH is located in, I mean the actual folder. As in the folder's name is ASH, and when you open it, you see Step 1, Step 2, and all of the components. ntcompress and texconv are in the same exact folder as all those things.

Ahh, ok then. You know, TM is checking for a specific file name, so if you renamed them or if you capitalized something, it might not recognize it. They SHOULD be named TexConv.exe and ntcompress.exe. Basically, TM is looking in it's own folder for an ASH folder containing TexConv.exe and ntcompress.exe

The default directory is the folder where you store your own (or downloaded) textures. I think you're trying to open a folder that has either no textures in it, there's too many sub folders, or the textures are not in Texture Manager format. More info on the format is in the included help file.

Well, everyone I know got it working right away and it's the exact same thing. Perhaps you should read the help file? If you'd tell me what exactly is going on, I could help you work things through. You ARE aware you need an actual texture and picture of the texture, both named the same thing with a 2 digit prefix according to the character right? Again, it's in the help file.

It's a htm file, it opens in your default browser which I assume is Google Chrome in your case. You can open it in any web browser.

Yea, you're supposed to open a folder on your computer containing your textures. On my system, I open C:\wii_texture_hacks\mytextures\ which directly contains .pac and .jpg files in the TM format. If you look in the help file, you'll find more info about TM format and how to use TM. If you need any more help or need something explained better, let me know, I'm happy to help :)

Even when I have the textures, and it says "Textures Exported Successfully", when I try to find the textures, they're not where they're supposed to be!

Anything?

Also, I sometimes get the error "Unable to find part of the path E:\private\wii\app\rsbe\pf\" or something like that.

I can't open a folder with textures in it.
I'm getting an error just like everyone else.

@GreenGhost: First off, what do you mean they're not where they're supposed to be? Do they get moved at all? I have a feeling you're putting the wrong 2 digit integer in your filename. You named the files based on the character according to the help file right? Also, concerning that error, are you choosing the correct drive letter? If so, try manually creating that directory. If you still get that error, let me know.

@Untouch: You're getting the same error as everyone else most likely because like everyone else, your textures are not in the correct format. Look in the help file. I'd love to be able to see your computer and immediately diagnose the problem, but unless you want to set up a remote assistance thingy, you'll have to tell me your setup.

Yeah, I had already figured out the 2-digit integer thing. I just had forgotten to post it.

Whoops. :urg:
