Technical Question about Shino Stall

Why do you have to actually vanish when you do the shino stall. Couldn't you just do the "jump" part of sheik's up+b move to grab the ledge again? Or does the invincibility not work then?

Sheik's up-B has invincibility frames within it, which means if you vanish during the Shino stall, you not only use the invincibility frames from the ledge, but you also use the ones from the move itself.

However, I think you CAN try to use the "jump" part of the up-B to grab the ledge. I'm not sure if you are actually invincible 100% of the time. It may take really good timing. Also, I'm pretty sure you're not invincible during the "jump" part.

If you're not invincible during the jump part, then wouldn't the shino stall as is not work anyway? I thought the shino stall was invincible for the whole thing?

Here's how it works:

During the jump part, you are normally NOT invincible. However, during that time period you have your invincibility frames from the ledge (if you did it correctly). After you use up those invincibility frames, the invincibility frames from the vanish part kick in, making you invincible for the whole thing.

hes right, and yes you can be invincible during the half up b stall, its useful if you want to reset faster while avoiding getting hit

While the other one is useful if your opponent decides to comes in close and try to hurt you during your stall, as they will get hit.

Wait, what's the Shino Stall? I've heard of the one where you ledge drop, then you use up-b and grab the ledge again (correct me if I'm wrong). By the way, what is that method called? So is Shino Stall basically with the vanish-explosion? How do you do it?

when u explode it lets u hit ur oppnent and i dont think you haveto drop down as fall when u do the explosion. U r invinsible the whole time if u do it right. You shoudl be able to do it on brinstar and not be hurt by the rising lava.
