- Loser may then counterpick a stage from the neutral or counterpick lists.

- Loser counterpicks a stage --> winner picks character --> loser picks character.

- Dave's Stupid Rule is on: You cannot counterpick a stage you've won on in that set.

- Dave's Stupid Rule Addendum: You can counterpick a stage you've lost on.

-If 2 players agree on the stage, Dave's stupid rule doesn't apply (thanks tai)
And since this is the first time we'll be hosting a tourney, if we are missing something blatantly obvious, just let me know and ill change it.

And yeah gmo, I stole some of your rules!

I reserve the right to kick anyone out of the house and DQ them from the tourney if they do not respect the house or things inside the house. Yeah, that does include people... I guess.

You should add that if the two players agree on the stage, Dave's Stupid Rule doesn't apply.

p.s. If time permits, can there be a Melee side-tourney as Cutmet suggested in the AZ Thread?

I don't see why that would be much of a problem. But I really want this to focus on brawl.

Very few people actually remember to use counter picks, plus getting caught in an infinite isnt very likely unless you do something stupid.

I've looked through a few major tourney lists and that seems to be about the consensus of them.

I'm not sure if TCB will be able to make this. You have to attend the atomic comics tourney to be able to get into the finals at the end of the year.

Just make the tourney a date that Forward will attend. If he's there, there will be a bunch of nubs that wanna prove they can beat him and others that wanna learn from playing him.

Haha, yeah that sounds about right. We should advertise it as a "Come try and beat Forward" tourney

yayuhz i'm going i'm going i'm going

also bryan

Grand Finals 4/7, is that one set or two? If its one set only, then if the loser is from winners finals they technically need to be eliminated twice because its double elim.

if its 2 sets like its supposed to be, don't you think TWO sets 4/7 is a bit much?

i think the standard ever since melee has been two sets (should the person from losers win the first set) 3/5

I'll probably head to this tournament. I'm moving from SV to Tucson on the 15th, which is before most of my friends do, so I guess I'll have nothing else to do. I've only been to one other tourney before this and it wasn't really big so I expect to learn much lol

I can bring myself and definitely a friend, possibly two other people as well.

I also have a money match I need to take care of with GamerGuitarist and his Falcon.

you REALLY need to get ahold of as many people to get to come to this. PM people, AIM them, bug the **** out of them. Post about it every 5 seconds. i'll try too
