I'm not sure if this has been found already, but it's rather interesting.

Luigi's taunt where he does a little kick can be used as a meteor-smash.
Well, to an extent anyways...

If the opponent was hanging onto the ledge, Luigi's kick taunt will send them straight down. I'm not qute sure how this is going to be utilized in an actual fight, as it seems next to impossible to pull off...
I didn't see any posts concerning this topic, so I figured I'd post one. Luigi's taunt can spike the opponents while they're on the ledge.

Props to whoever can pull it off in a real match.

What is the difference anyway? I think a spike is when you gimp the opponent while a meteor smash is done in the air...or to make it simplier in a strange way...

To me I think Ike's d-tilt at the edge is a spike, and his Dair is a meteor smash.

Meteor smash: can be meteor cancelled (in other words if you are fast enough you can survive it)
Spike: You can't survive it in other words your down and out.
