I was just wondering what everyone's views on having tap jump on is. I personally have it on because it is the most effective and easy way for my to thunderstorm (tap jump + down on C-stick). For some reason, I just can't seem to get thunderstorming unless I have tap jump on. So, are there any real disadvantages to this? Is it harmful to my style of play if I have this on? Keep in mind, I use thunderstorming a lot, but I also learned that without tap jumping, edge gaurding with U-air becomes a lot easier.

Any suggestions on what to do in this situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use the c-stick for your uairs. How is that more difficult?

I keep tap-jump on because it's my preferred thunderstorm method and it doesn't affect my game negatively in any way.

Up+B out of shield?
That too. People who turn off tap jump are just gimping themselves for no real reason. And you don't have to worry about utilts with Ganon. Not that utilts are hard, people who jump when they mean to utilt need to chill out and quit mashing. Sometimes I accidentally usmash instead of a utilt, but jump? C'mon.

Obviously utilt stuff really doesn't apply to Ganon.
