Tails For Brawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that they should put tails in for brawl .

they can use his inventor skills or maybe even some of his weapons ofr his move set
he coulds be a light character that has several mulitiple jumps

i know that sonic has a better chance but i love secondary characters that have flaws because then that means that they will be more of a challenge

If Sonic makes playable characters, then he should be an Assist trophy. He shouldn't be playable.

A great Assist trophy. It would be sweet if he was playable. That would probably happen if Sonic joins the roster ( I mean AT). Only if it were like that rumor for Melee years back, when they said Sonic and Tails were playable, sucks it was fake, if it were real then Tails would of had a better chance.

Tails is my second fave Sonic character (admittedly, Shadow stole my heart), so I'd love to see him in. But I really don't see him having any chance. Even if Sonic's in, I'm not sure he'd even show up as an AT. I think Sonic as a playable character is enough.

If he WERE to be in Brawl, I think he could be pretty original. Maybe whip out a few inventions for some attacks, but for the most part keep him on his own. He should be light, but I don't like the multiple jumps idea. He's not filled with hot air here. Two normal jumps, probably both pretty "weak", and then up B would be his infamous Tail Propeller Flight. His Tail Spin Attack would be neutral B or side B, and then the other could be some sort of inventions, I guess? A super scope-ish kind of gun, maybe? Don't know about his down B. I'm done thinking.

as a die-hard Sonic fan especially of the trio Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails (yes in that order), i have to say making Tails playable could potentially kill brawl. for one, 2 characters that are 3rd party and represent the exact same franchise would be overkill because it would show favoritism. once you show favoritism like that, people who originally wanted to play brawl will question the bias of the game. but thats probably the least of the problem.

Tails can have a moveset. theres no doubt about that. Tails DOESNT have a fanbase big enough to get him into brawl over Bomberman or Megaman or Sonic or even much lesser known video game icons. and most people who enjoyed playing Sonic games whether recent or back in the day, preferred the gameplay of Sonic (which more emphasize on recent games and no emphasis on Sonic 3 & Knuckles or any off the Sonic spinoff games).

Tails as an AT is more likely than playable but still unlikely overall. nintendo might not allow 3rd party cahracters as ATs or they might allow 3rd party characters to be ATs assuming that the main 3rd party character of the franchise is playable. from the looks of thing ATs might not even be franchise-related in the sense that not every franchise may have an AT. i mean sure Goroh is one but so is Dr Wright, Nintendog and Hammer Bros. we'll need more updates on ATs to better confirm Tails chances for that.

all-in-all i strong agree that Tails wont be playable. sorry for the long essay but at least it clearly explains everything with logical and nonbias reasoning

TAILS FOR BRAWL. I'd rather see Tails in before Sonic (as personal preference.) Before anyone reads into that: yes, that's completely impossible. I know that.

Anyway.

If we see a second character from Sonic, I'd personally bet it'd be Tails. Though he's been overshadowed in recent years by 'cool' characters, he's still known world-wide as Sonic's right hand fox, second oldest hero in the series (after Sonic, of course,) and cute-as-a-button fox-dude that all the ladies love. If we're going to have a console war flashback with Mario and Sonic, well...there's no chance in heck it'd be Mario and Luigi versus Sonic and...Shadow? Of course, that's if we see a second Sonic character. Debate that amongst yourselves.

1. glad you used "cool" in quotes (though i wouldve preferred double quotes). shadow is not a badass and shouldnt be replacing what has worked so well prior to 1999
2. Knuckles > Tails...sorry thats just life
3. Tails gets about as many ladies as a gay guy
4. the other Tails thread has about as much support as a gay republican presidental candidate
5. my respect for Tails declined when he started sounds like a ***** (not include Sonic SatAM cartoons)

Regardless, I doubt it. If they actually did put a second character in, I'd have to agree that it'd be Tails. He's got seniority over, like, EVERYONE. If there's one character that everyone on the planet knows other than Sonic, it's Tails.

dude...use your imagination, a moveset for Tails is pretty easy. im not gonna make one cuz:
1. im lazy as balls right now
2. playing Sonic Battle will pretty much give you like 70% of it
3. playing Sonic Adventure will give you the remaining 30%

I guess in that respect he's a little less unique. But Tails has his tails (obviously) for attacks, too. And Mewtwo's got nothing on him there.

Seems like a bit much to me. Mainly because there are only a couple third-party characters that I actually want, only one of which being all that likely (bet you can guess who that is). In general I'd kind of prefer Smash to stay third-party free anyway. But Snake is already ****ing with it so whatev.

true. i knew about the 2-3 (or God forbid even one) deal but i was hoping maybe they could stretch it a bit. besides Sanke and Sonic would be the only recognizable 3rd party outcasts since all the n00bs who play brawl would think Bomberman and Megaman were nintendo-owned

true...basically Tails only chances of making an appearance anyways. im just thinking that Sega and Nintendo will be more focused on Sonic that all his "tag-along buddies" (even thoguh Knux and Tails are the shizzle) will get cut out completely. but we'll see

i dunno about your last statement (the one in parentheses which i used waaay too much by the way). the trophy system might be different from melee with regards to collecting them and also to content. i dunno yet though, we'll see

Interesting... I would like to see him as an AT and nothing more sadly.. I remember reading someone elses post saying Tails would come out of an AT and go off the stage. Then when you got knocked out or down.. he could come and fly you back once..

Though now that I think about it.. Maybe just an extra/third normal jump for a few seconds would help out too. Like what he did in Heroes when he was at the top.

As much as I do love Shadow, he's stealing an awful lot of limelight. It's gotten to the point in the Sonic games where (and if you've even heard of Sonic '06, you know this) if you're not a hedgehog, you're nobody. Tails and Knuckles have really gotten the shaft as of late. I mean, hell, Amy gets a bigger role in Sonic '06 than Tails and Knuckles do.

I base this from watching all the cutscenes on youtube.......I've still never played the game. >_>

i know. its total bull. how can you expect to gain anything at all from destroying the only characters in the franchise that ever had a real fanbase and then trying to gain a fanbase in the form a Shadow? i dont wanna extend hatred towards Shadow however. its not his fault Sega royally screwed up. but hes been immediately thrown into the frontline before most longterm Sonic fans could learn to like him. and Shadow the Hedgehog was geared towards speeding up that process by giving him a stupid badass attitude and for most Sonic fans the effect of that game was the complete opposite. my main concern though is that Knuckles and Tails are play less and less significant roles in Sonic games now. and if we're not careful, they could eventually be nixed from the Sonic world

Don't get me wrong. Knuckles is awesome. But Tails is still my number one.

Tails gets as many ladies as a cute puppy in a display window -- and I'm not just making this up. I'm taking this opinion directly from conversations I've had with more than a few collegiate gamer girls I know.

Hey, nothin' wrong with Tails being a little kid. Not every Sonic character has to sound like an Xtreme Sports broadcaster with a weathered past and bitter attitude.
