Symmetrical vertices?

Hey, hopefully someone can help me with this... I'm using 3DS Max, and I was wondering if I could make it so two or more vertices move opposite of one another?

In other words, I want one side I'm editing to effect the opposite side of a symmetrical character. (see pics for example below)

Left vertex selected.

Moving the vertex on the left doesn't do anything to the one on the right. Selecting both vertices causes the right one to look strange, since it moves in the same direction(s) as the point on the left.

How to make it turns out something like this?

I've looked through the topics here, but couldn't find what I was looking for. The closest I got was a plugin called Transmographier, but it doesn't appear to work with SSBB models very well. Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated :)
