I been following this for some time now and every new thing I come across that is swine flu related is either promoting/enforcing vaccines and quarantining or fear mongering people to be weary of flu like symptom and staying away from physical contact. The hype they are cranking up in the media sickens me because they talk nonchalant about coming into peoples homes and place of work with out permission and quarantining those who haven't taken the swine flu vaccine against their own consent. They announce that the CDC, center for disease control, has the power to call a pandemic state of emergency and legally violate our 4th amendment under the constitution. Personally I consider it illegal cause it violates the constitution period. Regardless this type of idea is getting saturated through many forms of media and trying to be passed off as an ok thing.

I Been concerned about this for a while especially when I hear they will be starting the first round of shots in October and the second round of shots in November. The media has been hyping getting vaccines and if you don't you gotta be quarantined. It makes me wonder if sometime after the first round will the CDC consider calling a pandemic and going through with the violation of the fourth amendment right of all Americans? There is a lot of well based controversy involving the vaccines but I won't get into that this time. The mandatory quarantines is what was on my mind. The links below are a few sources I am referencing most of my claims from.

♥ My post count is my age. Deal with it.
The thing with the media is that they create a psychological distress.

This psychological distress is what can make many people sick.
The media needs to make it simple:

Wash your hands.

I could be wrong but that is what I think.

I think the media's unnecessary paranoia is coming back with a vengeance. The worst thing is that whenever they do this, the conspiracy theorists come out of the woodwork. Ugh. This thing is no worse then the regular flu, but the media is making it out to be the next black plague.

Only thing that by definition is a conspiracy in my blog is when I said they might choose to call for mass vaccinations and quarantine. The power and legislation is there though and is put out in the public's view. But I completely agree about the media turning a splash into a tsunami. Thing is the power they're consolidating through it isn't really ringing bells for many Americans.

I know you're saying PaperSoap. My school, on the first day, handed out "Flu Prevention Kits." you know what was in them? A tiny sample size bottle of purell (1$ legit), a tiny packet of tisues (1-2$), a card that says to wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, etc. and 2 plastic thermometers... I don't know how that works, but it's there, haha. Seriously, they want us to say at home at any, ANY sign of the flu. In college, you don't wanna fall behind so.

But seriously, I do think this is too much hype, just like the short period of SARS and madcow.

Some colleges like the one in GA have been encouraging quarantining. I wish I could find the other vid I seen but that one hits the same point. I don't see why people are scared they will die from this flu unless they have weakened immune systems caused by HIV/AIDS or are relatively old and suffer health complications. A flu will get you sick, what are these people expecting when they catch it? The two girls in that quarantine compared it to being in a club. I would not want to be in a club where all the girls have runny noses and are coughing up flem. I think I'll stay home for that one, lol.

Either way, it's still a good idea to get the shot. Still....quarantining? Ugh. This isn't the Spanish Flu.
