If Sun & Moon are indeed Gen 7 games, then that would make Gen 7 the second generation released on a system that already has a gen. (the first was Gen 5, which was released on the DS despite already having Gen 4 on that system).

I also feel if that's the case, then we will have to wait until the next system for a remake of the Gen 4 games.

I read the news. Yep, won't be surprised if tomorrow's Direct will reveal Pokemon Sun and Moon after all those trademarks and Masuda's tweet. Gotta say, I really like the sun and moon symbols on them. Can't wait to see how the mascots will look like.

I only wonder how will they tie Zygarde into generation 7 though. Seems a little odd to give Zygarde all those new forms and a key role in the anime, yet avoid giving it a significant role in a main series game if Sun and Moon will focus on new legendaries.

These guys VASTLY understate the backlash that Gen 6 got for having too few Pokémon.

If we don't hit right into a 100-130 Pokémon range with new Pokémon, Game Freak is going to get ripped to shreds.

The Gameboy and the Gameboy Color are largely considered the same system in the same way that the DS and DSi are, I feel Gen I and Gen II should be considered as being on the same system.
