What do you think? Should they? Could they? I personally hope they can. I mean, they've done it for Twilight Princess, so why not Brawl? Not everyone owns a Wii, and it would mean more sales. But that is, if the Gamecube can handle the graphics and background motions.

Post your thoughts on this here.

If they could do it, that means I wouldnt have to buy a Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ^_^

I wonder if they could though, it seems like just a bit beyond melee's graphics (which are VERY nice) so maybe the ol cube cant handle it.

Seriously though, melee's graphics are NICE.

Yea the graphics are pretty awesome, but all they need to do is lower the quality a little, or do whatever they did so that Twilight Princess can work on Gamecube.

Well, TP was originally for the GCN and was added onto to make the Wii version. The game would have to be lowered in quality to compensate for the lower disc size. The visuals, sound, and online play would probably suffer. Sounds like quite a bit of work just to cater to their less loyal fans.

Even if it is feasible to make a technically scaled-down version for the Cube, I would imagine it's very unlikely to happen. The fact that not everyone owns a Wii is actually a reason in favor of making it Wii-exclusive - to boost Wii sales. A new installment in a series as popular as Smash Bros. will sell many Wiis to folks who otherwise wouldn't bother getting one.

I will answer this honest: no. The GCN is yesterday. It's retro. I'm not saying that the GCN was a bad console, it was great! But it's really time to go on.

what he said, there are no more gamecube games. so many of the games that were supposed to be the last on gamecube were ported over to wii. Ie, Super paper mario, dk bongo blast and fire emblem. Anyway, It wont happen but. they could scale it down, online play would be a pain though, of course, nintendo wont dish us on that.

It would be simply stupid. Why not Halo 3 for the normal XBox while we're at it?
