Super Smash Bros. Brawl Amazing Race (Doubles)

Alright so I figured since the Amazing Race is supposed to have teams of two people racing, Brawl would work good for this (Melee would too, but there are more characters in Brawl so...). Anyways, I've copied and adjusted the rules from the other thread so that they now work for a doubles game. They are as follows:

Here’s how to play an “Amazing Race Doubles” game:
1. Start off with a “Teams” list and a “Pit Stop.”
2. Cut a team from the list, and paste them into the “Pit Stop.”
3. Depending on the rules, a certain number of teams left in the list are eliminated.

Example: RULE round 1 - last 5 teams left in the list are eliminated.
20 teams of 2 guys are in the “Teams” list. After 15 teams are cut and pasted into the “Pit Stop,” the last 5 in the “Teams” list are all eliminated.

Example. LINK & ZELDA, MARIO & LUIGI, and YOSHI & BOWSER are in the “Teams” list, you cut LINK & ZELDA and paste them in the “Pit Stop,” then someone else cuts YOSHI & BOWSER and places them in the “Pit Stop,” and since MARIO & LUIGI are the last team in the “Characters” list they are eliminated.

In case you're wondering, here was my method for deciding the teams:

1. Put together the obvious teams (Mario & Luigi to Marth & Ike)
2. Put together the less obvious, but still acceptable teams (Bowser & Wario to Lucario & Jigglypuff)
3. Put together Sonic & Snake... just because.
4. Randomize the rest of the teams, since no real connections exist.

I excluded Zero-Suit Samus since it would make the number of characters uneven, and technically she is still Samus, so the Samus in this list can represent both/either.

It will be interesting to see if the teams that make sense together will beat out the random teams or vice-versa.
