I think you're thinking about the US release, in Europe the variance between the countries is 2 hours at most I believe. I could be wrong. X&Y were released at Midnight in Belgium. That I remember, a bit earlier on the german eshop actually. But not by much.

Oh without a doubt haha, I believe it even did so for Fire Emblem Awakening being released in the first hour and Smash Bros is way bigger than that game

It's 11 PM in Finland (Helsinki) - Eastern European Time here where I'm living.

Wonder if Eshop meaning the Midnight on 3rd October is either this night or the next one. I hope I'm not waiting here for nothing. I'd get the game pretty early.

With Pokemon X&Y it released on midnight in Belgium/Germany, not sure how much difference there is with Finland hour wise, but it't shouldn't be more then 2 hours at most. It's 22:30 right now.

I am Spanish and the notification I received on my 3DS said it'd be available as soon as 12 PM. No mention to US whatsoever, so I can only think they mean our own 12 PM... Meaning we should be getting it in an hour and half.

Doesn't matter to me because I'm going physical, but... yeah.

About 7 hours remaining until the game comes out. I got an email notice from Amazon.com saying that my copy has been shipped and it should be here tomorrow during my sleep. xD

I'm getting it in 7 hours from the eShop! I ran a series of tests with my friends' and my 3DS' to see if download speeds differ depending on system placement and amount of 3DS' downloading the same item (a random demo) and there's no difference in speed whether there's one, two, or three 3DS' downloading!

It'll take us roughly 34 minutes to all download it and play with one another, so until then we will play Brawl.
