Super Jump off a spring

I was playing as Ganondorf on one of my custom stages (it had tons of springs). I was just messing around and then I started spamming down + B into the springs. I noticed that if you down B into the spring and immediately press down + B again, it would cancel the move and you'd just shoot up almost twice as high as normal.
