Subspace Emmissary, Adventure mode AND Event mode?

I was thinking the other day, after seeing kirby looking at peach and zelda in the cages, facing Petey piranha, maybe you have to be kirby for that fight. It would make sense, especially judging by the info we have. So i thought, maybe Adventure mode will be full of fights you have to be specific characters for, ie event mode. It would allow Sakurai to make a deeper story, as well as a longer one, as he would not have to make a seperate story for every character.

Yeah, this has been speculated around the boards. I think it's a pretty good theory. I mean, how could you play Zelda or Peach and verse Petey?

SE does pretty much seem to be a story mode that doesn't have individual paths for everyone, but more of a branching storyline with specific characters. Maybe in some cases you can choose who you want to use from a limited list, but other than that, I think it will use the single characters to focus on story itself. (Heck, some characters are just not suited for SE, ie Pokemon Trainer.)

Ya, I've seen this discussed before. You're most likely going to have to follow a linear storyline each time, branching on whoever you save or which path you choose.
