Subspace Emissary Stages Thread

Well along with an exciting post today of many of the enemies from the Subspace Emissary we were revealed what look to be many exciting side-scrolling stages. None of these stages have official names yet and don't look to be just part of a regular stage. So here some of them are!

The first of the stages seemed to be a pre-stage leading up to Castle Siege. I don't think it is part of the actual level because although it shows the castle it is not inside the actual structure.

Next we were given a stage, not sure what it was, but most likely part of the Skyworld as it is high in the sky among the clouds. I put these two together because they seem to be the same with similar brick structure and background.

My personal favorite of the stages was the next one shown, in a forest-type area. For some reason the bird's look reminded me of Pikmin, but that's just me.

Also, we were what looks to be an inside stage, it is kind of plain so I don't know what it could really be.

Along with seeing Link engaged in an epic battle, we witnessed a stage that takes place in an underground mine-shaft. Maybe this could be one of Link's levels, portraying a Goron mine?

Lastly, we saw what seemed to be the inside of a futuristic ship or hangar. I'm going to guess that this one could be inside of Lylat Cruise or part of Snake's Helipad.

Well that's all there is for now. Any ideas, tips, suggestions? Discuss!

The background of the screenshot with the BYTAN is a pool. Weird, seems that the stages of Subspace Emissary will be based on a realistic world.

Hmm. That first one doesn't look quite like Castle Siege to me, almost seems too cartoony. The second stage, however looks a LOT more like the Bridge of Eldin than it does Skyworld. As for the other, your guess is as good as mine- probably better on a number of them.

Do you even know what the Bridge of Eldin is???

They look like pretty cool SSB stages. Can't wait!

That last one might be the inside of the Halberd? Or another Subspace Army HQ? It just seems a bit too simple for Lylat Cruise (to me, anyway) and too futuristic for Snake's stage.

I agree. First thing I thought of when I saw that screenshot was a small cave in Twilight Princess where there were several dead ends and rocks you had to bomb, and at the end of the passageway was a heart piece. If it was an actual Goron mine having Gorons in the background would rule.

The first screenshot also reminds me of Gerudo Desert.

I'm surprised no one mentioned it but the forest background in the yoshi screenshot looks AMAZING

I simply believed it was Castle Siege because of the Castle in the distant background on the white, looked like the same setting too. Also, I didn't think it was Bridge of Eldin because, although they had the same brick layout, they were completely different sceneries.

Thanks all for the responses, keep them coming.

What if they are just levels made only for the game, for instance the underground maze in melee...

Still, it is a good idea, and I'm glad to see someone that actually posts pictures and evaluates what he means, to many one liners get closed every day here at SWF :(

Well that's actually what i was going for, side-scrolling stages only playable via the Subspace Emissary and when you play on them they lead up to you fighting on one of the stages playable for Multiplayer. Did I not make that clear enough? >.>
