Stutter Stepping?

Starting the dash animation then letting off on the control stick and then dashing again at the right time. With captain it looks like a little bunny hop with dashing. It's most noticeable and easiest to do with captain and marth as there dashes are somewhat unique. With the right timing you can travel from one side of FD with starting dash animations being able to dash dance at any particular point in time. Has this been used/found before? I don't really see that big of a use for it other than mind games. Probably a little lower use than moonwalking. The timing isn't that hard to get either depending on the character.

From what I remember stutter stepping is moving a small bit back/forwards and then smashing in brawl?

Sounds like you simply stop dashing in the middle of the initial dash. The change in timing of an approach could actually be really useful if the resulting delay in your approaching attack matches the timing of a spot dodge.

Foxtrotting is continually dashing forward as a means of movement. Stutter Stepping is doing an fsmash during the first 3 frames of your dash.
