Alright, this is just getting frustrating. I'm not sure if this is the right area, but - I've gone through a good number of capture cards now, Roxios, Elgatos, and... something else I can't recall off the top of my head. Each time, something goes wrong - the first one, the one that actually WORKED, my laptop got stolen, so that was rough. The setup was a Roxio Gamecap using OBS, so naturally, that's what I bought as a replacement card. It was only capable of displaying a distorted image of the screen, one frame's worth. So now I've gone and got myself an Elgato Video Capture, and it's only displaying a red square where the video feed should be. Seemingly, a common problem in OBS that there's no definitive solution for. My question is: what setups - capture devices, recording software, etc - have people been using to record matches? I'm tired of not being able to share footage of our events for one reason or another.

Right, I have both component and composite cables for my Wii, if that's relevant. This just feels like a really stupid thing to be so hung up on, and I'd like to fix it as quickly as possible. If anyone actually knows how to make Roxio or Elgato work with OBS, that would be incredible.
