Strategy for toon link?

i just signed up for an online tournament and one of the mains that my opponent uses is Toon Link.When i play other TL's online i normally have trouble with them but then again, i just started Mr.Game and Watch this month...so any strategies/tips would be helpful.

and the main strategy against TL is to always focus on avoiding the projectiles and fair/nair alot

General Tips:
Spend more time focusing on avoiding projectiles instead of doing damage to the opponent. If you watch replays of yourself against a TL and count how much damage those darn projectiles do, you'd be surprised.

TL has predictable kill moves. One of his favorites is waiting for you to airdodge into the ground then upsmash/utilt kill you. With that being said, G&W also can have trouble killing for the exact same reason. Try using fair or dair (safely) to kill TL.
