Smash 3DS Strange Lucas Phenomenon

So me and my friend were out playing on our 3DS's most of the day when we came across some strange occurrences where my character (Marth and Link) jumped an abnormal distance offstage. Both seem to be linked to PK Thunder in some way but I can't quite tell what's happening.
If anyone can tell if it's windboxes, or some other strange mechanic I'd like to know. I've linked a video of one of the occurrences. The other can be found on the channel if you're interested.

Don't think there's any windboxes on the move...

Looks more like a weird knockback interaction, like Marth got launched but had his hitstun canceled.

To me, looks like you wall teched, Phantom footstooled Lucas, then P. Footstooled Olimar.
