Strange Glitch Involving Blizzard

So there I was at a local tournament, fighting on N64 Dream Land. I don't remember exactly how it all went down, but I remember I had used these three moves in rapid succession: down throw, Squall Hammer, and Blizzard. All of a sudden, even at the low percentage of about 50%, the opponent (Peach, if it matters) was encased in two icebergs at the same time and immediately raised to 90%. I tried repeating it without any luck....

So have I discovered something new or has this been found already?

No not the Freeze Glitch, although technically speaking it does involve freezing, meaning by the down-b. They got out of it as soon as you would a regular iceberg. I just thought I would say something because multiple icebergs encased the opponent at once, causing regular iceberg damage for each one, at a low percentage. It all happened very fast, I don't remember all the details...

To me it sounds like the game's RNG (random number generator) rolled for two icebergs on either the same frame or close frames. Blizzard is a move with tons of active hitboxes, so it's possible for two icebergs encase an opponent but it's unlikely.

Fun fact about Icebergs in Melee - If you get encased in one you get your double jump back when you get out of them.

Ah, that could be it. False alarm, no glitch discoveries here. Darn, this means I can't trigger it on purpose....oh well.

yes, but there are also weird very infrequent cases when you can be hit out of them and you'll lose it (if link's bomb goes off while he's encased it takes priority, iirc. Also works if you're holding a bombomb and it goes off), but the chances of that happening in actually play are like... next to nothing.
