Cmon theres no way that Sakurai will exclude Luigi. He's a vertan and has the same importance as Mario. Dont' worry will see him soon and he'll be better than ever cuz this time around I can picture him hving the new moves and the vacum.

I agree, there's no point in revealing characters that you have to unlock.
Sakurai thinks the same, if you read his blog posts on the dojo, you'll see that he recommends not going online with SSBB, before you got every character....
he's against spoilers...

Luigi should be in, after all he evolved from smash bros to melle, becoming less Mario clone (more own moves and such)

You really shouldn't be worrying about that. You might as well worry about... err.... something equally unlikely.
Anyway, Luigi's in, there's no other possibility, and the fact that he's not revealed weeks before the game is out in Japan shouldn't really make you wonder whether he's in it at all when there are still god knows how many characters to be shown.

And Sakurai said he won't reveal unlockables... He could have lied though.
