State College and surrounding area, Melee players?

I'm a new grad student at Penn State this year, originally from the Nashville, TN area. I rarely post on the boards directly, but I lurk quite a bit.

It seems like there are very few Melee players (or ever Brawl players, for that matter) in my area. The closest tournament I managed to find was 2.5 hours away from State College, which I can manage, since I'm used to Nashville's Melee scene (which isn't exactly brimming with tons of local players either), but it would be really nice if there were someone local that I could practice with. Anyone know someone I can talk to?

Am I in a small Smash-desert?

I was about to make a thread asking if there were any PSU Melee players haha. I'm an undergrad freshman, I was here for Summer Session II but still new to the area. I brought my Gamecube up, along with Melee, but I haven't really played against a decent player in a long time. Practice would be really cool. Just send me a message and we can play sometime.

We also play n64 time to time when we can get our hands on a n64.

We are planning melee/brawl monthlies, so stay tuned for that. People from surrounding area should be coming up to them. Lastly, big brawl tourney in reading nov.7th if your down.

FYI, I don't play Brawl really, but I would love to get in on some Melee action. I play Brawl+ from time to time, but Melee is where my heart is.
