...Just ended a few minutes ago in OT. The final score was 4 - 3, Chicago.

The Chicago Blackhawks have beaten the Philadelphia Flyers and are the new Stanley Cup champions, thus ending the longest championship drought in the NHL.

The Blackhawks were leading the series 3-2 going into this game.

I'm glad Marion Hossa finally got to hoist the Stanley Cup in the air. I wonder if he'll get lucky again and pick one of the two teams that make it to the Stanley Cup Finals next year.

Congrats Chicago.

I really don't know how I feel about the Hawks winning. Obviously it wasn't a surprise, considering they are easily the most talented team in the league. But at the same time, i am really, really impressed with Phili. I was actually surprised that Phili was able to take it to game 6. When the Hawk's beat San Jose in 4. I figured it would be a compleate walk in the park for them to beat Phili.

Ultimatly i am a little dissapointed in this year's season. The only team in the east that can compete with the west's 3 team powerhouse (Chicago, San Jose, Van) is washigton. And they blew it. Hopefully next season will have a less predictable outcome. Also, here's hoping that Calgary doesn't have another fail season.

So, anybody have any predictions for next year? Or hear any exciting news on what's going on with Phenox?
