Smash 3DS Stamina Mode?

I'm not sure if I just haven't unlocked it yet, but I've found no way to play stamina mode in the game. I know it EXISTS because I've had a Smash Run match with it, but is it possible to play on Stamina mode manually, or did they take it out?

Stamina mode and other special smash modes are absent in the 3DS version, but it's very likely it will be in the Wii U version.

But Stamina mode is my favorite ;~;

And if you go to the "sounds" in the vault and go through all of the announcer voice clips, he says "special smash" in one of them. ;-;

Sadly, it appears that none of the Special Smash game modes are in Smash 3DS outside of Smash Run. It's also hard to say if they'll be in Smash Wii U.

But there has to be. I was going through the Announcer voice clips in sounds and he said Special Smash around the hundreds

Smash Run I believe holds the only special smash matches in Smash Bros 3DS. These can include Warp Star as the only item, 300% battle, among others. Interestingly, in my mad dash to grab all Smash Run powers and custom moves, I have never played a stamina battle.

That stinks. I was asking because part of me wanted to use a Ryu and Ken mii fighter fight, with stamina.
