Every time at the tournament, every match I get that one question: are you going to ban a stage? I don't know which one to pick! Yoshi's Story is the one that comes first in my mind. Are there any other stages I should worry about? BTW in the NOVA/ Southern area Onett isn't banned.

Yoshi's story. Shy guys eat thunder, it's a tiny stage, and the edges' slope is bad as well. I usually ban it out of habit, since it's the worst stage for almost every character I play. Unless I'm fighting against a Ness and I'm not Ness. Then chances are it's worse for Ness than it is for whatever character i'm playing.

Ban FD?
WTF!?

No way, FD is my fav. Ness isn't THAT suspectible to chainthrows. He can escape Sheiks at like 40% and Ness can make good use of PKT and recovery there.

Like You guys have said, Yoshis story sucks anus.

Umm.... wait, I'll post more tommorrow.

I love yoshi's story! What isn't to love about a stage where Falco can recover if he doesn't hit the blast zones?

Seriously, that and onett are some bad news, unless you know the person sucks as fox. Other stages are really a person to person preference. Some people fear jungle japes, I love it. Figure out what works for you. I know, it's useless advice, but beyond those two, it's just playstyle and opponent.

EB: For your loc, do you and the cap'n make it happen?(edited translation: do you main el capitan?)

I dont know, good shieks just combo the hell out of ness on fd even more then other stages. They can chain throw you very high and then just downthrow, ftilt, fair then ness dies. FD doesnt help your recovery options either. I just do not see any advantage that ness gains on FD when fighting characters besides fox/falco and even that is arguable.

I normally ban YS unless i'm fighting a shiek, if i'm fighting her then I go for FD to avoid nasty CT'ing

No timotee, I don't main falcon (my friend mains ganon and used to main falcon). I meant to ask what stage should I ban if I don't know what their main is?

I have another question, besides Corneria (which is argurably Ness' best stage) which stage should I counterpick. The first that comes to my mind is pokemon stadium since Ness has that infinite there (love doing that on a fox trying to infinite waveshine me).

If you have no idea who their main is, Yoshi's Story is the one to ban. There is no real advantage for Ness at any part of that stage.

The main guess was aimed at EB360, guessing your old main was just a perk! =D

Corneria, Green Greens, Jungle Japes vs. fast fallers, and Pokemon stadium are all solid choices in my book for counterpicks.

I dont like Jungle Japes becauseif you fall low enough, you are dragged away from PKT.

For FD, chainthrows from Sheik can be esaped at 40+ which isn't so bad. FD does help Ness'recovery IMO since you have many PKT options there, and there is a good amount of area between the stage and blastzones.

Yes, I do main Cap'n Timotee :)
