Stage spikes with Luigi

Stage spikes. They're awesome. But are there effective ways to do them with our man in green? I found a couple useful ways to stage spike with Luigi, or at least they work for me, so I thought I would share and see if you guys have any good ones to contribute.

First off, the best way to stage spike someone is if they are hanging on the ledge (of course after their invincibility wears off). What I like to do when my opponent is hanging on the ledge, while they are still invincible, I will begin to run at them and simply run right off the stage into a fastfall Bair. If the bair connects on a stage with a hard bottom, it will stage spike. Every time. At least it has for me in the last few days. I sometimes fake people out by dash dancing a little when I'm around the edge to lead into this, I don't know if it will prove effective against the people you guys play against, but it sure works great for me.

Its also probably important to note that Luigi's Uair will stage spike those hanging on the ledge. Its really cool looking, but a little situational, though I feel like a god when I do this... haha.

Hrmm the point of this topic is to see what you guys do to pull off effective stage spikes, so lets hear it :D

No one falls for the run off the stage stage spike. Maybe if they are forced to recover that way and you can beat them to it. The running idea is good but it might not always work on someone on the stage.

As for the tornado yea that works some times but not always. There is really less of a chance that you will get the stage spike, maybe a gimp but not a stage spike.

Personally i don't use Luigi but i face a good one. He never lands the run off the stage spike. the tornado yea (few times) but mainly gimps.

I maybe wrong never played as luigi.

lol, ive been working nn this lulzy edge gaurd

roll towards teh edge. take one stop away from the edge, then roll away from the edge. then uncharge green missle and hold towards the edge, luigi ledge cancels the green missle(if its not missfired lol) and grabs the edge. ive done it once sucesfulyy but its mostly just lulzy.

My favorite stage spike? Green missiling an edge hogger of course. This only works once.

Most stage spikes I get are from rising tornadoes though. Nobody I play tends to want to tangle with luigi off the edge, so there isn't much chance to get the regular kind.

I've done countless Bair stage spikes since Melee. That **** is just too epic. You don't have to wait for their inciviblity frames to wear off. You can actually run off, and know just maybe a second or 2 before they use their upb to sweetspot the edge, just FFBair. It'll still connect.

Occasional tornado gimps got me some stage spikes. Fair @ higher %s stage spikes as well.

Besides, Chic seen me a ton of Bair stage spikes to his a*s! XD

Of Course the Bair thing is epic, but the down spot is even better :3

The only weakness is, that you must wait, due to the invincible frames. On the other hand you can spike the enemy with the down spot when he is almost at the edge. I got some times. But this is no real stage spike or?

so far ... Bair FTW ...

@dair-spike: you must hit with the first hitboxes/frames and then with the Top of them / with the Top of Luigi. The Timing is really diifcult ... I think ...

I do basically everything that's been said. One thing I do, though it only works if I haven't really edgeguarded yet, is I dashdance a little, then I do a full backflip, FF and f-air.

It's almost the same as LuigiKing's, but it'll get some people because they may not be sure what you're doing when you backflip X^D

Hippie gets me every time as I recover from below with the B-Air stage spike. Yet, I cannot pull it off.
