I was not fortunate enough to get my hands on the OST for melee. I am determined not to make the same mistake for brawl. I am wondering, do game OSTs come out the same day as the game, aweek before, aweek after, when do they come out? Also I'm going to be in japan a week after SSBB comes out in america, should it be easier to find there? Do I have to buy it online? Could someone give me some general tips on finding this OST from their previous OST experiences.

I'm sure you'd be able to find the official strategy guide or the official sound track online. If you are looking for a strategy guide, any Gamestop or Walmart will do. A soundtrack might be a little trickier, but I'm sure if you wait a week or two you can rip it off of the internet from e-snips or some file sharing program. Not that I advocate illegal behavior, or condone the stealing of music. I am simply stating it is less expensive and more convenient.

I do not believe in strategy guides, 1. until after I've beat the game once, and 2. unless its free like game faqs, or smash forums.

Thanks for the info that they should come out about a month after, I'll have my eyes peeled, this soundtrack is shaping up to be another chronotrigger...

EDIT: Oh yea OST does stand for original soundtrack.

Strategy guide..I thought people who didn't know how to use the internet only bought those. no offense..

Even so, when I had Final Fantasy 10, I still didn't use any strategy guide(not even online). Strategy guides just ruin all the fun. Theres no point in reading it if it's just going to spoil everything, unless you are deseparatly stuck, OR already done with the game and want to go back and do quests/secrets, then it's all ok. I mean, I like getting that feeling inside me where I feel like I solved a hard puzzle on my own. Feels good.

all I can say is gamefaqs, and the link in my signature.

Shut up. You ruined the joke.
I wasn't adding to the joke, actually it's a fact.

The instant you share your 10,000 collection of illegal(whatever), you'll probably get tracked down for piracy exploitation. Yes, this costs music, games, software millions of money lost.

Don't get mad at me. I'm trying to help you. Some kid who was around 19 got sued and went to jail for sharing his downloaded songs. Of course, alot of people already do this, but soon as you become popular and known for it...they will start.

Perhaps the law should realise that it exists in a increasingly global society with a fetish for freedom?
So basically you're saying since "everyone does it", they should stop and just let it all happen and do nothing about it?

I may sound like i'm against piracy, but I'm just getting the facts out there. Better to be safe then sorry when it comes to lawsuits and jailtime.

Already saw the flash. You don't care about what happens, then whatever.

I don't care if I ruined you're joke. Yes, posting a pirate flash everyone has seen 1,000 times definatly helps somehow. =/

So what, Deal with it.
I was making a joke based on the flash. Clearly you didn't realize this as you startes going on about going to jail for stuff I don't do.

Yes, because saying that is such a good joke.

Not.

Yeah, I wasn't the first in the thread to reference the flash. Did you happen to see who I was quoting?

You made a joke statement out of the flash, not directly quoted anything they said. For all I know, that could of been said anywhere. Holy, does this meaningless crap even matter? I said what I had to say. You still wanna dwell on small issues then go for it.

Someone got some real argument to discuss about piracy?

You can find all the music in "Smash Composers 2.0 thread". As for sound effects...I don't think anyone took the time rip the sound effects from the videos..

You can try looking for melee sound effects.

this thread is about piracy? what happened about the sound track / guide?
It was never about the guide.

OST stands for original soundtrack, not official strategy guide. I don't know where you guys are getting the "guide" from.

Last I checked, the word guide did not begin with the letter T.

Hopefully the soundtrack to Brawl will be easier to acquire, but there are other options:

-Some people are going to rip the songs out of the game
-Perhaps they'll include a download-to-SD Card option

In your mind!
possible, the soundtrack seems good enough, honestly my favorite song is Star Fox Armada... The Hotel is the best option out there so far...

OST = Official Strategy Guide?

Seriously people... this makes me sad.

And you should be able to find the OST a few months after the release online. Japanese import would probably be the easiest to find.

Official Strategy Guides for people without internet? I collect them all, still in the wrapping paper and everything for some games i've kept in wrapping (i buy 2 copies, one to play and one to keep as collectable). Makes me money hopefully in the future, have games for all Nintendo main consoles, and major titles.

I bet its the Official Soundtrack since the guides come out a week before, and the music is 2 weeks to a month after, around the globe so in reality it'll be in March... guessingly said

The forums has all the recent soundtracks. You suit yourself.
Isn't it ironic that they guy bringing up the issue of piracy knows more about the site that has all the music sound tracks for download?

BACK ON TOPIC:
Smashing Live was a cd that was exclusive to Nintendo Power subscribers I do believe. So if you want a legal version of the soundtrack just get a subscription and hope they do it again.
