ORLY? Have you played around with all of their attacks yet?

There'd be no reason to completely change their movesets. Otherwise, we'd get a lot less characters...

It's a tried and true formula I guess. There are slight modifactions to be noted. Like how Link's d-air doesn't bounce or the inclusion of their final smashes. There won't be as many changes to the original characters as there was in melee coming from n64. Instead they'll focus more on balancing these attacks so they can spend more time making sure the newer cast members function accordingly.

To me, everything is all right.

Well they already had good attacks. Might as well keep them right?

Its actually pretty difficult to come up with moves that aren't too similar to others, with all the characters that are said to be in Brawl.. I think they should have mostly the same moves except for a little tweaks that might have been off.

Final smashes are a good addition to make some changes too.

I'll be semi-"dead" for a while after Fe
1. Link's dair is only one example of the many qualities of his melee combat that has changed. A second Link anyone?

2. Every char so far has had huge ratio changes...I MEAN HUGE!!! The clips with Kirby show that he HAS reformed closer to the 64 version. And I'm so ****ing happy for that!

3. Final Smashes are very unique and add another dimension to the game.

4. Expect alot of moves to be similar to one another, you could compare Ike and Kirby's UpB sure, and alot of people are. But they're used COMPLETELY different in the course of battle and different senarios. They would be even if they were the EXACT same move because the two characters have different styles. Like comparing Mewtwo and Samus B. The same thing but different methods of use.

5. They aren't going to be showing much anyway. When melee was coming out, it showed DK's Down Throw and C.Falcons Foward B. That's it. Everything else was 64 or new chars all together...

Why would they want to change the attacks anyway? They haven't changed it from the transition to SSB to SSBM. I don't see why they should now. Ike's Up B may looks similar to Kirby's, but it might deal more damage, or be executed more quickly, even. Pictures don't explain much. The moves are fine.

Name one fighting game that completely changed the movesets in the sequal.

Because it's what people are familiar with and it works.

Uhh, what do you mean? There were Side A attacks in SSB. No Side B, though. But, your topic is about changing current attacks, not adding more to the character. ;)

i'd like to see slight move changes but according to Sakurai most characters will have a different flavor. im sure where the attacks send them and how much knockback horizontal or vertical have will be a noticable change.
