I realize there was a lot of off topic talk on that topic but the discussion literally led from me using crossover, learning that it doesn't work, and using bootcamp to put windows on a partition of the mac and play it through there.

And i must say, it works great.

Boot camp isn't too hard to figure out, you need a copy of windows as well as your (snow) leopard disc. Look up some guides on it and you should be fine. Post here if you have questions after reading the guides and i may be able to help.
