Good evening my fellow Smashers,
hope everybody is doing good out there?

Me and a friend talked on steam earlier and I said I might get a WiiU in the next few Weeks or so, but he predicted that there might be a Bundle, the time SSB4 is released.

So what do you guys think? Is it likely to happen? Would you like it to happen?
And most importantly what would you add to such a Bundle?

Meh. I already own a Wii U, but I suppose it would be good for the people who only want a Wii U for Smash. Might boost sales a bit too.

And most importantly what would you add to such a Bundle?
Probably a Pro Controller. Maybe a download code for the original Smash, or Melee if they do a Gamecube VC.

A Pro Controller + Deluxe Wii U + Smash Bros.
I would like it to happen even though I already got a Wii U. I'm not sure if it's likely though.

Do you really care?
I don't think that was necessary.

I think they will, considering Wii U's lackluster sales.
It helped the GameCube with Melee.

Really gets me thinking if I should wait to purchase my WiiU.
I mean Smash is probably the main and only reason, as long as there is no WiiU Zelda, I want that thing!

I've heard this around a bunch recently, but I've never heard of a Melee/GC bundle. Could you prove its existence to me?

I got my Wii U at launch and I've had a huge amount of fun with Nintendoland. It's great with friends, and we're all 18.

Cool beans. Guess I just never noticed it when it was released.
It was close to end of the Gamecube's lifecycle.

Since I don't have a WiiU yet, I'd like for this bundle to exist. A bundle like Ndayday's would be nice.

Hmm... That would be quite nice. Smash 4 may be the only reason I will buy a Wii U.... Granted I don't get it for the 3DS. :awesome:

After the wii U sales were sort of down I think Nintendo knows full well what a system seller is.

After all, Iwata practically made Sakurai promise SSB4 for the Wii U. That's clearly to help the system with its sales, otherwise he wouldn't have announced it so early at E3. I wouldn't be surprised if they included a bundle, there's a lot of people who don't own a Wii U that are looking forward to smash.

It would work well but we'll have to wait and see.

I hope this shifts some WiiUs. I'm sick of all these "WiiU is already dead" thread and news stories everywhere. One Mario, one Zelda and one Smash later they'll all be gone.

-A bundle would be awesome.
-Likely? I'm not sure, although Melee was bundled with the GCN at one point.
-Yes I would like it to happen.
-I would add a Wii U Pro Controller to the bundle.

A Smash 4 bundle would be perfect for those who still don't own a Wii U and are interested in buying one, love the Smash franchise and would like to save money. I can see something like the Zombie U bundle for a Smash 4 one.

Wind Waker is being remade for the Wii U. And on top of that, Zelda is an A-list Nintendo franchise. You're practically guaranteed a LoZ game every time a new Nintendo console comes out.

But I speedrun Wind Waker on an Emulator already and I don't find the HD-Remake too interesting tbh.

But Pikmin 3 really grinds my gears

I already have a Wii U so I don't really care that much about a Wii U bundle though I'm sure it would drive sales for the Wii U lots of people would be willing to drop the cash for a new system if it was coupled with a big game like Smash Bros. Personally I would love to see a collectors edition for the game itself Nintendo doesn't do enough of those.

This.
I don't think they'll do a bundle like the ZombiU one, they'll probably just give it to you as a choice of free game when you buy a Wii U. It'd be nice for them to give stuff to people who own the console already than to give the goodies to people new to the system.

Yeah! And if it has to include some gadgets I would opt for a comic book that explains that part of the story not explained by the game itself, and with secret codes of the game as easter eggs.

Speaking of sales: I don't think Smash Bros is the game to turn around the sales of Wii U. Mario Kart 8 should be the one doing that. Much broader appeal there.

Anyhow, back to topic question:

Yes, you may be better off waiting for the probable bundle since it may come with neat additions and extras. Otherwise, Nintendo is always selling Wii Us for $200 refurbished on their online store with full warranty. And you can trust that these are good factory conditioned Wii Us.

I don't get why people would get a console for ONE or TWO games. Seems like you're not getting much bang for your buck. Wii U already has a good extensive library from greats such as Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Splintercell Blacklist, Monster Hunter and Super Mario 3D World to fantastic indie titles such as Un-Epic, Ittle Dew, Mighty Switch Force and more.

Anyways, do what makes sense to you. If you don't care for the potential extras and want to save some cash, go for the online store route.

Smash Wii U Bundle.

Includes: Wii U, Gamepad (It's staying. Get over it), SSB4WiiU, GCN Adapter, and GCN controller.

I'm probably off topic.
