Okay, so I came up with this idea. A Matchup chart is always useful once the meta has developed, it tells you what the probabilities of a character beating another one, given the skills are even. The Historical Matchup Chart is not here to tell us what could happen, but what has happened. I'm taking the actual results of matches at important tournaments and documented them to create this chart. Now, I have an actual spreadsheet with these results, but I suck at graphics so if anyone would assist me with an actual picture that'd be great. I know it doesn't look pretty, but the main point right now is to let you know what the goal is, it will get better with time.

Again, this isn't meant to be ssomething to tell you what could happen or should happen, but what has actually happened. This isn't not an official Matchup Chart by any means, but I believe it could help us build a real one.

What I take into consideration to add the matches to the chart is that it has to be a competitive and relevant tournament, and only the matches that have video proof can be added. This might change if you think it should, I'm open for ideas, if you think this is a worthwhile project.

Watching through every single match of the tournaments is tiring, and would appreciate some help if someone of trust is willing to.

Remeber that only the recorded matches on each channel are added to the chart, and the tournaments added so far are the following:

VGCBootcamp:

S@X 1/13/15
Apex 2015
S@X 1/20/15
S@X 1/6/15

Team Spooky:

Apex 2015

Clashtournaments:

Collision X
Collision XI

With large enough data and some ways to control for other variables this could actually surpass the accuracy of opinions. Data collection can be hard, though, and there's lots of biasing factors involved in smash.
