Side Special: Cap Throw
Mario takes Cappy off of his head and throws him in the direction inputted.
Running into Cappy after throwing him allows Mario to perform the Cap Jump.

Up Special: Wing Cap
Mario uses a feather to sprout wings on his cap, allowing him to fly in any direction.
If "A" is held after using the Wing Cap, Mario glides forwards and can be steered up and down.

Down Special: F.L.U.D.D.
Mario put's F.L.U.D.D. on his back and uses it's nozzle to fire a stream of water.
If held or used midair, F.L.U.D.D. fires a rocket that makes an explosion of water.

Shield Special: Rocky Roll
Mario encases himself in rocks, creating a boulder and quickly rolls forward.
The boulder explodes on contact with any opponent or wall, but cannot be countered.
(Origin: Super Mario Galaxy 2)


Final Smash: Giga Cat Mario
Mario uses a Super Star to become invincible and dashes forward to attack. Any opponents hit by Mario are sent to Lake Lapcat.
After that he attacks the opponents with his hammer and finishes them off by becoming Giga Cat Mario and pouncing on them.

Here’s my idea, if anyone’s curious:

Intro: Mario jumps out of a pipe and proclaims “Let’s-a go!”

Stance/Idle 1: Mario hops from side to side, ready to go.
Idle 2: Mario adjusts his hat.
Idle 3: Mario moves his head from left to right and holds his fist in front of his face.

B + Down : Spin; Mario creates a sparkly blue trail around himself, which can reflect projectiles (6%, small knockback)

Final Smash: Mario Finale; Mario rapidly throws fireballs from his hand (8%, OK knockback), which can be thrown in the direction tilted on the control stick. Press B to throw them even faster.

Gimmick: N/A

Taunts
Up: Mario grows in size, then shrinks back down. Mario shrinks immediately when you cancel the taunt.
Side: Mario gives a thumbs up.
Down: Mario spins around and falls on the floor.

Winposes
1: Mario’s animation from Mario 64 when he grabs a star.
2: Mario handstands and springs back up to touch a flagpole with his emblem on it.
3: Mario throws Cappy toward the camera. Cappy then comes back to Mario, who smiles.

Applause: Mario respectfully claps for the winner.

This is a more modernized version of his old moveset and i think it is a neat replacement. I wonder if you'll do this for every Fighter I rework. Also, you're missing the Down Taunt.
Only the fighters I feel can be modernized without alienating their established styles. Thanks for letting me know about the down taunt.
