Spoiler-Free completeion list

Hey there, SmashBoards. I read a lot of your stuff but this is my first post. I was wondering if you could grace me with a favor. I apologize in advance if people have already moved for this favor, though.
I know you may I think “Why should I do this for him?? What’s he done for me???” But I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who feels this way. I think this favor will be great for those who want to explore Brawl like I do. So here’s the favor I’m asking.

With Brawl around the corner in Japan, I’m preparing myself to block out all kinds of spoiler possibilities. I want to know how to get everything, without knowing what they are. Soooo… Could you make me a spoiler-free unlocking guide? I hope it would go something like this:

Secret Character Α: Beat Subspace Emissary with Mario.
Secret Character Β: Clear *insert level name here* with a “2” in seconds number, like 22, 42, 52 etc. (a la Luigi in Melee)
Secret Character Γ: Clear break the targets with all the starting characters.
Secret Character Δ: Beat Subspace Emissary with Secret Character Γ.

Secret Stage A: Do something specific.
Secret Stage B: Beat 100 Alloy challenge.

And so on and so on.

You see what I’m getting here at, right SmashBoards? I would appreciate a list of how to unlock everything without actually identifying what we’re unlocking. That way, when we get to that one last “?” box on the character selection screen that we can’t figure out, we can know how to get it without ruining the surprise!

Anyway, please consider it. I probably will not be openly active, but I will bookmark this thread and check-up on it. And if you can’t do it, no big. I’m sure before the American release, there will be something like this.

Someone might do it, but it's going to be pretty hard to keep yourself in the "no" without learning the characters. If I were you, I wouldn't go on at all until you've played through SSE, done break the targets and whatever mini games, beat SSE on very hard with no continues (or lives lost maybe), Played 50 hours. Beat 100 man and all the other events, etc. I'm gonna try to not go on smashboards until i've unlocked everything. But when I do I'll come back on here and post stuff for you.

Hello there and Welcome to Smashboards.

It's weird that you posted this as this morning I was pondering a way to have exactly what you are suggesting here. I don't think I've seen something like this pop up yet and I would be willing to visit some of the bigger threads here promising spoilers once the Japanese release date comes and set up a spoiler-free list for you and anyone else who's wanting to stay as spoiler-free as possible.

All pre-realeased SmashDOJO information will not have spoiler tags, but anything secret or not yet discovered will be behind various spoiler tags, so you don't have to worry about anything being spoiled if you don't want it to be.

I'll be updating that sticked thread personally, and I know it's a big challenge, but I won't disappoint.

Yeah, I think even stepping into these boards is a bad idea if you're trying to avoid spoilers. The topics of threads themselves will definately give most of the game away before you even find any type of "spoiler-free" guide. In fact, you're pretty much best off avoiding the internet altogether and playing through most of the game without a guide and/or sucking it up and "spoiling" yourself.

This is a great idea! Somebody could fly a plane to Japan, grab a quick single copy, and get all the secret characters so he can share how to get them but not show what you unlock!

Thank you all for the positive feedback. Just to clarify, I understand that there will be spoilers all over this board. That's why I've only bookmarked this thread. Also, thank you for clarifying that the released info will be available with spoiler tags.

I suppose that if people want a seperate thread to be completely spoiler free, we can make this thread into it. People will just have to PM with the info in the format that I have specified. Thanks again.

Hmm here's an interesting idea. We all know about the challenge system Sakuri's put in place, what if it gives hints for characters also?
