Is of course, the trophy tussle stage and not actually available on the stage selection menu.

What if it were though? Would you consider it neutral, counter pick or even ban worthy? Would you like it as a stage or would hate it? What characters do you think it would benefit or totally destroy?

I myself see it as a counter pick because, while it's simple nature would normally help keep it neutral, it is an awkward stage with very little open space. It is perfectly symetrical and has no random aspect or walk off edges so I can see no reason to ban it but the enclosed nature, very high ledges and small hidey holes between the side spikes make for a gameplay altering stage that, atleast in my view, cannot be considered neutral. Don't be afraid to contradict me though, it should be interesting to hear both alternate arguments for my view and other arguments contrary to my own.

Guess I'll humor you.

I think the two spikes on both sides of the stage can gimp people if they're not in between the two. Say Marth is in the middle, and some other character (Fox?) is on the outside, then Marth can camp like crazy; he can Forward Smash through it and maybe do a few fairs through the spikes. Fox would have to double jump, and possibly have to do an upb if he intends to get inside. In fact, I think most characters would have to double jump and upB to get over the spike, which means that they'll be vulnerable coming down. I suppose some characters can jump --> wall jump --> double jump --> waveland the tip of the spike. Idk, that's only viable with characters that can wall jump.

I guess you can camp outside of the spikes too if you want, which means the player on the inside would have to commit to getting over that wall --> leads to getting combo'd on the way down.

In short, it's kind of a stupid stage. You can't really do anything without having to commit to it, and if you do commit, then you're punished. That, and you can't really access it without an AR and having to deal with the whole Debug menu, so I'd say it's not even close to being viable for tournament matches.

As said, this is a what if it were available so the problems of getting to it can be ignored but if the spikes are really that bad then that is indeed a bit unfair.

On the plus side though, it does mean Kirby can win for once as long as he can force them outside. I had considered this move of an anti-Kirby stage previously as it's mostly close combat with the high points being too close to the top of the screen but forcing them to commit to an attack like tht means you could easily jump from the top of the spike and use stone as the pass under, almost garunteeing a 1 hit KO.

Ok, I guess that makes it even more broken. You've swayed me well in favour of ban now to the extent that it seems the only possible option. It's a shame though because I do like that stage.

I guess that's this thread done :(.

majoras mask would be banned, entei would be banned, but just barely because it's actually legit but it's a bit awkard. We already have a very conservative stage list.

I hated him as a stage.

I'm not really a fan but I could see it working. It's probably more neutral than FD atleast.
Idk about collect the stage being more fair than FD; you don't have any ledges to grab, so it makes recovering ridiculous. Also, aren't the blast zones, at least the sides really close? Can't remember how high the top was.

Ah, I see. Aren't there like two circular platforms too? Can't remember. That's a fun stage to **** around on, but Idk, the no ledge grabs kinda puts me off.
