Let me guess that you didn't look at picture and translate the statements yourself? Don't dare to jump into conclusion without know anything what this pages said.

other words, translator in other forum confirmed that it is secret characters, so I am waiting for SmashWorld Translator to confirm it as well.

(also I did checked Smash Dojo daily expect weekend, so thank you very much ;))

Why does it matter? They're in the game - we knew that months ago. After a few hours of play we'll be able to unlock all of them.


Maybe it's just me, but I really don't care about what the starting roster is compared to the final roster.

I already know that Sakurai said that they will be secret characters, but many people can't grasp the fact that Sonic and Snake is secret character. too many people think they are starter character.

maybe it is you, since you are not aware of many discussion of many people that claim that they are starter character despite Sakurai confirmed that they are secret character, so this picture will prove it for all.

Meh, it doesn't matter really. We're going to have all the characters unlocked in a few days time of release. (Although I didn't unlock all Melee characters until a long time because I wasn't as hardcore as I am now.) I think the reason the starting roster is so important to people is because it can help them make a guess at how many characters are actually in the game. I'm somewhat neutral on the subject.

No, I wouldn't say that.

Having three Kirby characters from the start is insane.

It's about time this was confirmed so the people who thought they were starters (they were crazy.) would finally believe it.

Actually I believe what characters that are announced on site beside third party character are starter character..

Remember Sakurai is very modest person so he don't want to make one of Kirby character as secret character, which could be believable.

I am looking at 22 characters that could be starter characters, which is very nice amount of starter character.

Thing is... we "know" Metaknight will be a starter, hell we've known about him since my first year in college, and with Dedede in the advertisements and the very first event match, I doubt that you have to unlock him.

No we don't, seriously it's completly ilogical to believe 3 Kirby reps are starters.

Is there a scan of the next page? It says "Suneeku to Sonikku, Kakushi Kyara no.... (Snake and Sonic, Secret Character's..."
I'm sure that sentence will be finished, but with what? I can barely make out the kanji on the next page.

There's no proof that Metaknight is a starter, So what, we know about him since the first announcement, we also know about Snake and he's unlockable. There's no proof.

It doesnt really matter since the whole "wow" factor is gone, we already know their in the game...

You're right, there is no proof. There *is* something called common sense, however - when a character is on the official box art, it's safe to say they will be starters. Come January 24th, you will see I'm right.

Not necessarily, but that looks to be the case. The only iffy case was with King Dedede imo, but seeing as how he's being featured prominently (advertisements, first event match in co-op, etc.), he'll probably be a starter as well.
